Can more than one family share a place?+

Yes, and it is the part other tools do not do. A road, a lake, or a compound can hold several families at once. Each keeps its own calendar, its own members, and its own privacy, while still seeing who is around and sharing a board for news. Most apps stop at a single household.

I want to create this but I don’t want to be the admin.+

That’s okay. You can add co-admins to share the work, or hand the admin role to someone else entirely, so the place never depends on any one person.

Is it fair to everyone?+

Yes. Every member sees the same shared calendar, and a family admin can ask us to switch on booking rules: put the family into groups, give each group its turn to book each season, rotate the order every year, and cap nights per person if you like. The calendar tells everyone whose turn it is. Booking rules are in public preview and off until your family asks for them, so families that do not need them never see them.

Is our information private?+

Your community is invite-only and walled off from every other community on SharedStead. Only the people you invite can see your calendar, posts, and photos.

Can we add guests or other families?+

Absolutely. Group people into families, invite as many as you like, and give trusted members admin access to help run the place.

What if someone leaves the group?+

Admins can remove a member at any time. The place, and all its history, stays with the family, not any one person.
